Hercules (/ ˈ h ɜːr k j ʊ ˌ l iː z /, US: /-k j ə-/) [2] is the Roman equivalent of the Greek divine hero Heracles, son of Jupiter and the mortal Alcmena. In classical mythology, Hercules is famous for his strength and for his numerous far-ranging adventures. Hercules was a hero of Greek and Roman mythology. He succeeds at completing 12 labors of incredible difficulty, securing his eternal immortality with the gods. Heracles, one of the most famous Greco-Roman legendary heroes. Celebrated as an extraordinary mortal, his success in seemingly impossible labours won him an immortal place amongst the gods.
