The Department also administers the Zoning Use Ordinance which regulates the placement of accessory structures including pools, fences, sheds and garages.
The City of Jeannette Fire Bureau is tasked with fire protection to the City of Jeannette while providing support to surrounding communities. Fire Chief William Frye operates a department with 3 full-time staff and 30 part time staff of paid professionals providing continuous 24/7 coverage to the municipality. Jeannette’s Mayor Curtis Antoniak had the honor to swear in the City of Jeannette’s newest Police Officer Jack Packe. Police Chief Donald Johnston JR and Officer Packe’s Mother and Grandfather were present. Please be advised the Jeannette Police Department is actively increasing its enforcement of wrong way parking within the City. The Jeannette Police Department will be issuing yellow parking tickets which include a fine of $15.00. The City of Jeannette currently maintains six (6) parks and playgrounds within the City.
